Privacy Policy

Effective date: to be set on publication

Abyana Express LLC (“Abyana,” “we,” “us”) respects the privacy of visitors to abyanaexpress.com and the people who get in touch with us through the website. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have.

This policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

1. Who we are

Abyana Express LLC is a delivery operations business based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Our website is abyanaexpress.com.

If you have questions about this policy or about how we handle your data, you can contact us at privacy@abyanaexpress.com.

2. What information we collect

We collect information in three ways:

a) Information you give us through the website form.

On the Riders page, we provide a short application form. When you submit it, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your contact number

b) Information you give us through other channels.

If you contact us by WhatsApp, phone, or email, we receive whatever information you choose to share — typically your name, contact details, and the content of your message. WhatsApp messages are governed by WhatsApp’s own privacy policy in addition to ours.

c) Technical information collected automatically.

When you visit our website, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically logs basic technical information for security and operational purposes. This typically includes your IP address, the type of browser and device you are using, the pages you view, and the time of your visit. We do not use this information to identify individual visitors.

We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any other tracking or advertising technology. We do not set tracking cookies. The website uses Google Fonts to display its typography — Google may receive limited technical information when fonts load.

3. Why we use your information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To respond to applications from prospective riders, including reviewing applications, contacting you, and processing onboarding if you join Abyana.
  • To respond to enquiries from prospective and current commercial partners.
  • To respond to enquiries from people referring riders or asking general questions.
  • To maintain the security and proper functioning of the website.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations in the UAE.

We do not use your information to send you marketing messages unless you have specifically asked us to.

4. Who has access to your information

Inside Abyana, applicant information submitted through the Riders page is received by the HR coordinator. The wider management team has access to applicant data when it is needed to make hiring decisions or run the operation.

Outside Abyana, we share your information only with the following categories of service providers, and only to the extent necessary for them to provide their service to us:

  • Our website hosting provider (Vercel), which receives form submissions and stores them so they can be delivered to us.
  • Our email provider, which transmits and stores email correspondence.
  • Government authorities, where we are legally required to share information — for example, in connection with rider visa sponsorship or tax compliance.

We do not sell your information. We do not share applicant data with manpower agencies, delivery platforms, background-check services, or any other third party for their own purposes.

5. How long we keep your information

We keep applicant information for 24 months from the date of submission, after which it is deleted. If you join Abyana as a rider or commercial partner, we keep relevant records for the duration of our relationship and for as long afterwards as required by UAE law.

You can ask us to delete your information sooner. See “Your rights” below.

6. How we protect your information

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you give us. Form submissions are transmitted over encrypted connections. Access inside Abyana is limited to the people who need it to do their work. We do not store sensitive financial information (such as bank details) on the website.

No website or system is perfectly secure. If you are concerned about the security of any information you have shared with us, please contact us at privacy@abyanaexpress.com.

7. Your rights

Under UAE law, you have the right to:

  • Ask us what information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information.
  • Ask us to stop using your information for specific purposes.
  • Withdraw consent you have previously given.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@abyanaexpress.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and in line with our obligations under UAE law.

8. Children

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have received information from someone under 18, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of the policy will reflect the most recent change. If we make a significant change, we will say so clearly on the website.
